Expansion Committee
Congratulations to the LTI Expansion committee for a successful expansion IAP trip to Brazil. Starting on January 7th and ending on January 29th, five of our LTI staff members (Amanda, Tina, Michaela, Susan, and David) traveled to Brail and helped start a new LTI chapter. LTI Brazil currently has two co-directors and is preparing for their first session in August.
LTI Opening Ceremony
On January 31st, LTI had its annual opening ceremony to welcome the new students. In addition to making these students feel welcomed, this ceremony also served as a great way to educate both the students and their parents on the LTI philosophy, and to show them some of the amazing projects that have already been implemented by LTI alumni. Now that sessions have started, I would like to again congratulate and welcome into the LTI community the following new members: Kaitlyn Carcia, Preeti Srinivasan, Osa Igiede, Alex Yen, Nidhi Krishnan, Naomi Tsegaye, Evan Heller, Kenneth Cottrell, Jonathan Vega, Jonathan Celestin, Andrew Fortes, Nick Doyle, Rebecca Richard, Kadedra Williams, and Rafeal Silveria.
LTI Recruitment
Currently LTI is making preparations for its annual staff recruitment. e-mails have been sent, posters have been posted, and flyers have been passed out. By the end of this month we hope to be finished with recruitment, and by next month we hope to start interviewing applicants and start finalizing LTI's staff list for the next academic school year.
