The Leadership Training Institute application comes in two parts.
First, please fill the form below and answer the five short questions at the bottom. Second, you may have one of your teachers submit a Teacher Recommendation form (optional, but strongly recommended). Please have your teacher sign the back of the envelope along the seal.

We are looking for the following criteria in our students:
- Passion for learning about and implementing tenets of leadership
- Commitment to excellence
- Self-motivation and proactive attitudes
- Courageous in the face of challenges and willingness to take risks
- Diligence and perseverance
- Capability of coping with adversity
- Cooperative and willing collaboration with their peers
Each student must attend every workshop. Each workshop will be on the MIT Campus from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sundays throughout the Spring. If you miss more than two sessions, you will be removed from the program. The program consists of workshops, activities, games, speakers, and more all progressing in a predetermined order. The sequence of events is essential to the program, so missing more than two sessions may infringe on your ability to understand and participate in later activities.
Students will also be paired with mentors who are MIT undergraduate students. These mentors have been selected because of their outstanding leadership knowledge and experience. They will assist you with any questions or problems you may have throughout the course of the program.
Students will also be given grants to start their own projects. These projects will be developed and initiated throughout the program.
